Family and Passions

I am so very fortunate to live, work and play in beautiful Colorado. My husband Ned and I enjoy good health, a wonderful family and a multitude of active good friends. In this photograph taken in October 2008, we are on a bike trip in Sicily with a group of couples mostly from the Denver area.

Ned’s older daughter, Shelley, lives in Austin, Texas with her family. She is a stay-at-home mom with two active young children.

Ned’s younger daughter, Amy lives in Cincinnati with boyfriend Troy. That is obviously not Troy in the photo, but her nephew. Amy is a talented graphic artist who specializes in packaging.

Terrell’s son, Selim, and his wife just had their first child. They are in Princeton, NJ for a one year sabbatical. Selim’s specialty is philosophy.

I recently went to my 40th High School reunion in Liberal, Kansas. I had not been back to the small town where I grew up in nearly 40 years. I was disappointed to discover that my grandmother’s farmhouse had burned down. Ned and I are toasting (with coffee) on her land, with part of the windmill and the machine shed still standing.

My husband comes from a large family that looks for any opportunity to get together. This photograph was taken in Colorado at SunderWest. His brother, three sisters and 94-year-old mother all came to see our new home and to generally have a great time.
