WHAT are the Shipping and Handling Rates for Canada?
We do have a lot of Canadian customers and have a standard shipping table. Just like our US customers, the amount you pay for Shipping and Handling (S&H) is based on the total US dollar amount of your order. Generally, you pay approximately the same amount that it costs for the postage plus the PACKAGING. We don’t have a minimum order amount, but we do have a minimum S&H of $17.00. You can order one lift ring for $0.06, but you still have to pay $17.00 for us to process your order, pack it and ship.

In November 2011, we switched to shipping all orders with the United States Postal Service (USPS) International Priority Mail, which arrives in one to two weeks. If you are fortunate enough to be singled out by Customs, another week may be added to that transit time. We have improved our Customs reporting and have found that has greatly reduced the time packages spend in processing. We now offer two shipping methods to Canada. "Canada - Long Items" shipping is for ALL items sold on this web site: small hardware, cording, plastic battens, boards and rods. This Rate Table is given below. Note that you can get a substantial discount if you order more than $175.00 in products. You pay the same S&H for a $450.00 order as for a $176.00 order. This maximum shipping charge is a real savings to you.

$35.00 | Why is your minimum S&H to Canada so high?Yes, $17.50 is a high minimum shipping charge. That is what we pay. Shipping fees changed dramatically in June of 2007. Parcel post shipments of shade hardware are hardly ever an option because of new package size and weight restrictions. You are just going to have to live with high postage rates. Note that the Shipping Charges do NOT include any Customs fees or taxes. The second Canadian option offers a less expensive shipping choice for CANADA - SMALL ITEMS ONLY. We use USPS International Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes for these orders. We have tried to estimate the maximum number of SMALL items that will fit into a box. This means that even though the minimum shipping charge is similar to the other Canadian shipping method but the shipping increases happen at much larger dollar amounts.

$26.00 | Once again, you get substantial savings for large orders. You pay the same S&H for a $1,450.00 order as for a $301.00 order. You cannot use the "Canada- Small Items ONLY" shipping method if you order any of these items:
- Plastic Battens
- Boards
- Rods
You will be given both shipping options when you check out. The Shopping Cart knows when it is shipping to Canada, but it does not know if you have only small items in your cart. If you choose "Canada - Small Items ONLY" because it is cheaper, but you have ordered battens, boards or rods, we will change the shipping to "Canada - Long Items" and place that charge on your credit card.
