Pacific Rim Shipping Rates

What are the Shipping and Handling Rates for Shipments to the Pacific Rim, including Australia, New Zealand and Singapore?
The amount you pay for Shipping and Handling (S&H) is based on the total dollar amount of your order. Generally, you pay approximately the same amount that it costs for the postage plus the PACKAGING. We don’t have a minimum order amount, but we do have a minimum S&H of $20.75 (for orders containing only items that will fit into a Small Flat Rate box). You can order one lift ring for $0.06, but you still have to pay $20.75 for us to process your order, pack it and ship. Special Notice: We cannot ship 4-ft or 5-ft items outside the United States and Canada. You will have to order 2-ft and 3-ft battens and rods along with batten splints and rod splices to extend these items for wider shades. Also, I strongly urge you to find a local source for the weight rods. They will add substantially to your shipping cost. For example, one 3-ft steel rod weighs one pound.

In November 2011, we switched to shipping all orders with the United States Postal Service (USPS) International Priority Mail, which arrives in about two weeks. If you are fortunate enough to be singled out by Customs, another week may be added to that transit time. We have improved our Customs reporting and have found that has greatly reduced the time packages spend in processing. We now offer three shipping methods to the Pacific Rim. "Pacific Rim - Standard" shipping is for ALL items sold on this web site: small hardware, cording, plastic battens, boards and rods. This Rate Table is given below. Note that you can get a substantial discount if you order more than $225.00 in products. You pay the same S&H for a $450.00 order as for a $226.00 order. This maximum shipping charge is a real savings to you.

$72.00 | Why is your minimum S&H to the Pacific Rim so high?Yes, $29.75 is a high minimum shipping charge. That is what we pay. Shipping fees were increased in January of 2011. Parcel post shipments of shade hardware are hardly ever an option because of new package size and weight restrictions. You are just going to have to live with high postage rates. Note that the Shipping Charges do NOT include any Customs fees or taxes. The second Pacific Rim option offers a less expensive shipping choice for PACIFIC RIM - SMALL ITEMS ONLY. We use USPS International Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes for these orders. We have tried to estimate the maximum number of SMALL items that will fit into a box.

$50.00 | Once again, you get substantial savings for large orders. You pay the same S&H for a $1,450.00 order as for a $301.00 order. You cannot use the "Pacific Rim - Small Items ONLY" shipping method if you order any of these items:
- Plastic Battens
- Boards
- Rods
You will be given both shipping options when you check out. The Shopping Cart knows when it is shipping to Canada, but it does not know if you have only small items in your cart. If you choose "Pacific Rim - Small Items ONLY" because it is cheaper, but you have ordered battens, boards or rods, we will change the shipping to "Pacific Rim - Standard" and place that charge on your credit card. The third UK/Europe option offers faster delivery and tracking information. We use USPS International Express Mail for these orders. Delivery is ususally 5 business days after shipment.
