What are the Shipping and Handling Rates for Shipments in the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands?
The amount you pay for Shipping and Handling (S&H) is based on the total dollar amount of your order. Generally, you pay approximately the same amount that it costs for the postage plus the PACKAGING. We don’t have a minimum order amount, but we do have a minimum S&H of $5.50. You can order one lift ring for $0.06, but you still have to pay $5.50 for us to process your order, pack it and ship.

We continually monitor shipping rates and options so that we can offer you the fastest delivery at the lowest cost. There is no getting around the fact that shipping Roman shade hardware is expensive. Most items are either heavy ( pulleys, cord cleats, screw eyes) or long (battens, boards and rods) or both (rods). In November 2011, we switched to shipping all orders with the United States Postal Service (USPS). Priority Mail arrives in two to three days. We now offer two shipping methods in the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Standard USA shipping is for ALL items sold on this web site: small hardware, cording, plastic battens, boards and rods. The STANDARD USA Rate Table is given below. Note that you can get a substantial discount if you order more than $125.00 in products. You pay the same S&H for a $450.00 order as for a $126.00 order. This maximum shipping charge is a real savings to you.

The second USA option offers a less expensive shipping choice for SMALL ITEMS ONLY. We use USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes for these orders. We have tried to estimate the maximum number of SMALL items that will fit into a box. This means that even though the minimum shipping charge is the same as for the Standard USA method, the shipping increases happen at much larger dollar amounts.

Once again, you get substantial savings for large orders. You pay the same S&H for a $1,450.00 order as for a $301.00 order. You cannot use the "USA - NO Long Items" shipping method if you order any of these items:
- Plastic Battens
- Boards
- Rods
You will be given both shipping options when you check out. The Shopping Cart knows when it is shipping to the United States, but it does not know if you have only small items in your cart. If you choose "USA - NO Long Items" because it is cheaper, but you have ordered battens, boards or rods, we will change the shipping to "Standard USA" and place that charge on your credit card.
Can I request Next Day Delivery?
We try to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Because our USPS pick up is so early and the packages may not reach the post office in time to be delivered the next day, we no longer offer a Next Day Delivery option online. You can call us at 303-758-0188 to discuss this option. The Rate Table given below gives the cost of Next Day Delivery based upon the total dollar value of your order. It includes a $10 Handling Fee that covers driving the package to the post office.
