Yvonne made these large outside-mount Roman shades to cover the windows in her sunroom.

The completed shades were 51" W x 62" L. Everyone who has seen them is impressed with the results. They are on east-facing windows and do a wonderful job of blocking the morning sun.
I did add one more step to your instructions. I was worried about the lining fraying from the slit for the weight rod. I turned and pressed the lining. Then I opened it back up and stitched a machine buttonhole where the slit would have to go. I slit the buttonhole and then stitched in the hem. It worked perfectly."
