Yvonne made these large outside-mount Roman shades to cover the windows in her sunroom.
Yvonne wrote: "I wanted to thank you for your wonderful website showing exactly how to make your own roman shades.  I have attached a picture of my sunroom's bare windows before and after the shades.  The completed shades were 51" W x 62" L.  Everyone who has seen them is impressed with the results.  They are on east-facing windows and do a wonderful job of blocking the morning sun.

I did add one more step to your instructions.  I was worried about the lining fraying from the slit for the weight rod.  I turned and pressed the lining.  Then I opened it back up and stitched a machine buttonhole where the slit would have to go.  I slit the buttonhole and then stitched in the hem.  It worked perfectly."
