These photographs show several of the seven Roman shades made by Linda M of Mundelein. She sent this message:

"Before I made these shades, I did a practice classic Roman Shade for my powder room, from which I learned much using your products and directions. Although I am an advanced garment sewer, I had never attempted shades. Your clear and concise directions gave me the confidence to tackle the 7 windows in my living room. I hope you enjoy seeing my work.Thank you so much, Linda"

Linda continued: "I think they turned out beautifully. I ventured into adding a lower border with a braid insertion."

Linda used the same fabrics that were on two Faux Roman shade valances that had been fabricated for her kitchen/dining room. She commented on the price of those valances: "The two custom faux Roman shade valances that were made by a company for our kitchen/dining room cost us over $1800...they are 16-inches in length and are stationary! My windows cost me $136 each for a real Roman Shade and they work great. I am soooo proud. I was able to order the same fabrics as the custom ones."

In this photograph you can see four shades. Three are raised and the fourth one, which is lowered, is just to the left of the fireplace.

Linda is quite the seamstress. She made this awning using Sunbrella fabric for the front of her house.
