We will cut boards for $5.00 per cut. You must place the Item Brd/CustomCut in your Shopping Cart. For example, if you need a board that is 22-7/8" long, purchase a 2-ft board (24") AND Item Brd/CustomCut. Specify the cut length of 22-7/8" in the Custom Cutting box.

The purpose of this small, flat board is to keep the top edge of your Top-Down shade straight and level as it is lowered. It is lightweight, yet rigid and easiy cut to any length using a hand saw. Note that if you are using a cord lock pulley for your Top-Down shade you should substitute a Steel Weight rod for this item. See the Cord Lock Pulley FAQs Section.You can find Stiffener Board in your local home repair store, such as Home Depot or Lowes, or a local hardware store such as TrueValue or Ace Hardware. It is usually called screen moulding and comes in 12-ft lengths. You can purchase any number of feet if you are willing to find someone in the store to cut it for you. Roll the board over on the floor to make sure that it is straight.
