One Fabric Sample Kit

This kit is for you if you are putting off making Roman shades because you think they are hard. We’ve cut the fabric and provided all of the hardware necessary to make a small (19” wide by 30” long) working one-fabric Roman shade. You can complete a working sample shade in 2-3 hours (not counting drying time for the battens). You will refer to this sample shade over and over again when you make shades for your own windows.
Kit Contents: complete step-by-step instructions, pre-cut front fabric, pre-cut RocLon Thermalsuede lining, pre-cut battens, hook and loop fastener, pre-cut weight rod, pre-cut mounting board, pre-cut muslin to cover mounting board, flat pulleys with screws, lift rings, lift cord and cord tassel.
Supplies needed to complete Kit: iron, sewing machine, thread to match front fabric, white thread, scissors, hem gauge; staple gun and ¼” staples, Philip’s head screwdriver, awl or ice pick, hobby glue, magazines (used as weights), matches. |

For the quilter or fabric artist. This is an excellent way to quickly learn every step involved in making a pieced Roman shade. You will complete a SMALL (18” wide by 26” long) working pieced Roman shade. You can refer to this sample when you make your own shades.
This economical version of the kit has NO front fabrics. Use your own fabrics for the front to make the Illusions design. This is a simple diamond block. We tell you how to cut the borders, accent borders and rectangles for the interior pattern. Then you cut the rectangles on the diagonal, arrange the triangles into a pleasing pattern and sew the front of the shade together. We provide the lining material and all of the hardware necessary to make your sample shade.
