Specifications
ndefined | Item ScrewEye/M is a low cost solution for your headrail. (The M stands for medium.) If you have read almost any of my directions, you know that I never use this product, but ALWAYS use a simple flat pulley [Item PF] to direct the lift lines at the top of the shade. Note the one exception to this is when you are making a Top-Down Only Shade. You will be using these medium screw eyes for your Guide Lines.
- fully closed eye so cords won't snag
- inside diameter = 5/16"
- length = 1 3/8"
- steel with zinc plating
- # 8 threads
- smooth surface inside eye, will not wear cords.
Advantage of using a Medium Screw Eyes: less expensive than a Flat Pulleys Disadvantage of using a Medium Screw Eyes: Even though the inside surface of these screw eyes are smooth, you still have a great deal of rubbing friction when the shade is operated. There is no comparison between the operational ease of a shade using pulleys versus a shade using screw eyes. I spend a lot of time making my shades and use them every day (as do my clients). I think investing $10 more in hardware to assure flawless operation is well worth it. | | Item ScrewEye/K This very small screw eye is used on a Top-Down shade to stop the knotted lift lines. Since a Top-Down shade is suspended from the mounting board by means of the cords (rather than being attached to the board for a Classic Roman Shade), these knot screw eyes are essential to prevent the shade from falling on the floor! |
