Galleries: Tumbling Bargello Shade
Copyright 1996 - Terrell Sundermann

I made this 97" wide by 58" long shade for an upstairs sitting room using the technique described in Bargello Quilts by Marge Edi, which was published in 1994 by That Patchwork Place. This window was "right in your face" and I wanted something that had a lot of interest, yet wasn't overpowering. This pattern in soft floral fabrics worked perfectly.

In 2005 this window was replaced with a large double slider that now opens onto a new deck. You can see the new shade that I made by clicking here. Even though I love the new shade, I miss this one!
