Galleries: Shadows Studio Shades
Copyright 1996 - Terrell Sundermann

Two Panels, each 68" wide and 66" long.

These shades hang on the windows in my studio. They are made from solid cotton, using the Amish Shadows quilt design. I find them to be clean looking and they don't interfere with the patterns that are emerging on my design board. Because of the way the windows are trimmed, it was not possible to do a single inside-mount shade on each large window. Not wanting to raise and lower six shades, I used an outside mount. This proved tricky for corner windows. The shades project almost 2" from the window trim when they are fully raised, so I had to mount each headrail 2" from the corner.
