GardenView and
OceanView Project Instructions
[Item GVP]
.
This is my own
version of a watercolor quilt. It is a very simple and fast technique
for getting a "view" in fabric. The basic block is a square
turned on point. The block is made from one fabric or strip-pieced out
of two to four fabrics. A 1/2" lattice looks like the leading on a
window. The appearance of the finished shade is of looking through
cloudy glass into a garden, or an ocean, or a mountain range.

Due to page limitations, this project was cut from the book. Now
you can purchase instructions for this design. It uses the very same
format as the projects in the book, so you need
Terrell's book (Item B1) to make your design into a pieced
shade.

You can see other
shades and wall hangings in the Watercolor
Design Galleries.
