Knot Screw Eye
Detail [Item KS]
These very small
screw eyes are used on a Top-Down shade to stop the knotted lift lines.
You may request
a sample of this item. This item does not
qualify for quantity discounts because it is so tedious to count.

You
want to use the smallest size screw eye possible so that it stops the
knot you tie in all of the cords used to operate a Top-Down/Bottom-Up
shade. Since a Top-Down shade is suspended from the mounting board by
means of the cords (rather than attached to the board for a Classic
Roman Shade), these knot screw eyes are essential to prevent the shade
from falling on the floor!
Don't
confuse these micro-screws with the screw eyes used at the top of the
shade (instead of a flat pulley). The larger screw eye [Item
SEM] is used as an inexpensive (but inferior) replacement for a flat
pulley [Item PF]. The
smaller screw eye [Item KS]
is used on a Top-Down shade.
Use the
Hardware Calculator
to determine the number of knot screw eyes you need:
Top-Down/Bottom-Up shade: two (one for each side of the board)
Top-Down Only shade: one
If you are using Cord Locks, you do NOT need Knot Screw Eyes.
